Although it's in a quaint hamlet and the staff is nice enough, this place is chaotic and disorganized. The bedroom and bathroom doors / locks are very problematic. The toilet is slow to refill if someone else is using water in the other bathroom.
Stayed here during my camino. Made the mistake of going straight to the casona without checking my emails -- the check in is not on site (its at a bar restaurant a bit of a walk back to the entrance of town) so be aware! But the person cleaning the casona was so nice and offered that I could leave my pack while I walked back to Posada el Tesin to check in. The room was spacious and clean, the bed was comfortable, I got to use the laundry facilities, the common bathroom was also very clean. Wonderful place to stay, but my stay was ill-timed -- it was the UEFA Champions League championship game between Real Madrid and Liverpool, and some of the people who were in the casona were very noisy while watching the game. Good thing Real Madrid won, or my almost sleepless night would have been all for nothing!
House with rooms, most for three people, ours a room with two single beds, some lockers as a closet, without space to put suitcases, with two bathrooms to share that were occupied all the time the short time we were there, we complained for the room as being the worst we had seen on the entire French road and Alba returned our money without any problem. For my quality/price I would give it a 0. As Alba treats and helps clients, I give it a 5.
Despite the many good reviews: our room on the ground floor was at least twice overpriced at 45 euros: the room was winding and was subsequently converted into emergency accommodation. To the communal kitchen there was a thin board without any sound insulation, to the bathroom (which was ok) over the dirty boiler room/oil tank/storage room - yuck! The rooms above may be ok, we didn't see them.
We rented the house, and it is spectacular. Covi standards perfect a 10. The rooms are great orreciisas with balconies where the breeze flows and gives you new energy. The kitchen is with all utensils. I would return for two months. Thank you for everything to the owner of this home and her family. Very friendly.
