José was incredibly warm and welcoming during our stay! His home is where Albergue Essentia is housed, and in every moment of our stay, we felt that we were truly house guests. Other reviews show specifics for the food provided; dinner is all hand cooked by José and tastes like a cozy hug feels, especially after a long day of walking. The rooms, beds, and bathrooms were spotless. If you are passing through Redecilla del Camino on your way and could use a home cooked meal and great accommodations, Albergue Esstentia is a must!
A wonderful place to stay on the Camino. José is the perfect host, kind, funny and a very good cook. Spotless and comfortable dorm. It's definitely worth walking the easy extra 4k from Grañon to get here!
He takes reservations by phone and walk-in. English is ok. Food is fantastic. The point is he has a stove! You’ve got to stop by!
