5 / 5 This Albergue was my favourite on the whole Camino! The facilities might not be the best, but the host was over the top. A man always smiling, joking, and super friendly, you could really see in his eyes how much he enjoys having guests. The dinner was 100% homemade and delicious. Here I felt the most like at home, I honestly recommend this place!
1 / 5 First time reviewer here, and I'm furious. They messed up my reservation and refused to let me check in. While I was explaining, they kept shushing me – extremely uncomfortable and rude. Later they discovered it was their mistake, and still told me not to "argue" with them.
I won't comment on meals and accommodation since everyone has different preferences, but this albergue revealed the owner's arrogance and stupidity. I hope the Camino fosters more mutual understanding and respect.
5 / 5 We had a wonderful experience at this albergue. It was lovely and clean. The food was delicious, and Jose made me a vegetarian meal! Highly recommend staying here, it was our favorite night of the Camino so far. Very cozy and a great value.
5 / 5 The best Alburgue on the Camino. Dinner was to die for, apple pie lives up to its praise. We laughed and ate and sang songs in all different languages, equally there was space & time to relax. The Alburgue had lovely hot showers, laundry facilities & lots of relaxation space + super comfy beds - essentially everything you could hope for!! Well worth the stop 🩷🩷
5 / 5 José was incredibly warm and welcoming during our stay! His home is where Albergue Essentia is housed, and in every moment of our stay, we felt that we were truly house guests. Other reviews show specifics for the food provided; dinner is all hand cooked by José and tastes like a cozy hug feels, especially after a long day of walking. The rooms, beds, and bathrooms were spotless. If you are passing through Redecilla del Camino on your way and could use a home cooked meal and great accommodations, Albergue Esstentia is a must!
