Albergue Municipal de Peregrinos Don Gaiferos

I stayed there during the winter, and the place is not heated. There is a small gas stove in the kitchen but the man came to switch it off for the night. There are some blankets available(but not enough if the hostel is full). The showers are very hot and strong. There is a small shop in the town owned by the owner of the hostel where you can find many products. The place looked a bit dirty and the room was a bit smelly.

Dorm with to many beds, no separation in between. If the place gets full, the hosts puts people in something like a storage room on the ground floor, where he keeps mattresses, chairs and bikes. But at least here you have space in between the beds. Prepare to climb into the upper beds, mine didn’t have a ladder. People where partying at night, so it was pretty loud. Probably the worst place I stayed in on the Camino.

We liked it here very much. Very nice host who also runs the local mercado ☺️ We met very kind people and spontaneously dinned together...it was simply special... that's the Camino

Got eaten alive by bed bugs—upwards of 30 bites all over my body. Tried to call them to let them know (The bites didn’t materialize til later that day) but the phone doesn’t work. Be careful! Stayed in room B on July 6, 2019.

Warning! The place is full of bed bugs, after checking in we realized it, called the hospitalero and showed it to him, he became mad at us, although he gave the money back but was shouting with us and wanted us to leave as fast as possible. The bed sheets are dirty, the hospitalero was very rude. 04-10-2017
