My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful stay at Hotel Roncesvalles. The room was comfortable, clean and just right. Service was great. The breakfast is a great deal at 10 €. Love the combination of architecture. Great place from which to set out into the snow this morning.
After walking over a mountain about the last thing I wanted was to sleep in an alburgue so I splurged for a hotel room then ended up sanding in the line waiting for a bed in the alburgue since the hotel entrance was not visible from the way I entered. After being treated like a cow being lead to slaughter for 45 minutes I realized my mistake and found the hotel. The room was adequate, but the service during lunch, dinner and breakfast is inadequate. The women working there were overwhelmed by the number of people they had to attend to … I’m empathetic here, not critical. They were running their tails off trying to serve everyone. Hire some more staff!!!
This was a very welcome shining light after the tough days’ walk over the Pyrenees! Very comfortable accommodation, dinner in the restaurant was lovely and breakfast was delicious. Only down side was our beds were upstairs, very steep stairs and we could barely move after the first day of Camino, so it was a sight to see, us so stiff and sore trying to climb up them! :)
The rooms are clean and comfortable. The restaurant has plenty of delicious options and the wine is great. Staff were very helpful and kind.
Exceeded my expectations. Spacious room with sitting area and kitchenette. Good hot water. Radiators great for drying all our hiking clothes! Also good quick laundry service. Food was good, although my companion’s fish was not cooked through. Office staff very helpful and gracious.
