Lovely clean hostal with large, clean bedroom. Lovely check in & very helpful the next morning organising a taxi for us. Recommending restaurants etc too.
This is the perfect little hostel/hotel to stay in Sahagun. Right in the middle of the town with excellent and modern rooms. Spotless bedrooms and kitchen with a garage to park your bike/motorbike.
Good Hostel BUT... At first the good things about this hostel: The staff is very friendly, welcoming and helpful. There is the posibility to store and liad e-bikes in the garage of the hostel. The rooms are simple but sufficient and very clean. A place to feel well. The bathroom did have a nice big shower. Now the BUT... In the garage had been several dozen chicken. They had to live in small steel cages without sufficient space to move, without fresh air or daylight. In my opinion this is not acceptable anymore. See pictures and decide if you want to support this.
This is a great hostel! Very clean. Although the rooms are a bit small, there is enough room for two people on the Camino to drop your rucksacks and still move around. The bed is comfortable. The private bathroom is wonderful - modern and very clean. Friendly staff! Great location. There is a Parafarmacia just around the corner that also offers great massages by a trained physiotherapist.
Hostal San Juan in Sahagún offered a decent stay during my Camino de Santiago pilgrimage. Run by a friendly family, it provides a good breakfast to start the day, but overall, it's a no-frills option—basic bed and bath facilities without any luxury or unique features. It's a suitable choice for pilgrims looking for simple accommodations and a warm welcome.
