5 / 5 I have stayed here during the Camino, on the 20-th 9f June 2022.
Happy with my choice.
The owner is very helfull. Friendly. Professional.
The room was very cosy. Huge bathroom. The location is quite central and very quiet.
The kitchen has everything you need.
I was very pleased on every respect.
The owner is from Brasil.
I have seen the brasiluan warmth.
Huge thank you!
1 / 5 I don't ever leave bad reviews! But the lady that runs it is a psycho. Intense and demanding communicator. Her children checked us in and expectations around payment were not communicated. We only heard from her out of the blue an hour later demanding we came back from dinner because she was clocking off in 20 minutes. The most stressful end to a long day - her sending a million messages one after the other counting down the minutes for us to return as we literally ran through the town. She lives there! It could have been solved by communication and patience but she does not have skills in either. And in the morning someone - not sure if the same person - tried to open the bedroom door then yelled about checking out. It was half and hour before check out time. Lucky the door was locked! The space is nice but her vibe is dire and not worth it.
2 / 5 Yuck!
They provided a Filthy towel that will leave musty smell and germs to the body after the shower. I will shower again with my travel shower. And, I just found out the toilet does not have a toilet seat. What about female guests?
The room given to me is without the window but open only to the sun room, used for the staff towel drying , where the staff can access to, and I am literally in a room without window, now. As the shutter is closed for privacy.
The shutter to the opening to the sun room doesn't lock. Major Safety concerns.
The shower water does not provide the regulated hot water continuously but spits it every 3-4 minutes. And, I rinsed the soap off my body with cold water, as I was waiting and waiting.
The closet and the room in general have the mold smell, and the hangers inside are not usable with the strong musty smell.
There is another Albergue across and it isn't any better. And the monastery donativo albergue looks like a refuge shelter. Not many options, but the town accomodations are sold out with mostly pilgrims but, I only saw one pilgrim, in town, at 3:30pm.
This pension is barely 3 stars. And so far, it is the worst private room I checked into on Camino for 30 plus days. The next was an Albergue in San Martin.
Worst is there is no respect. The staff hung up on me when I asked for check-in, and unapologetic later.
If I had another hostel room I could move to, I would pack and leave from this filthy operation, until they learn how to sanitize the linen and surfaces properly.
One last thing.
The pilgrim backpacks were left unmonitored and the building was left open.
Please, Glget the job done right. No standard of anything.
