Amazing albergue. In an old castle, yet modernly restored. Hospitalero Euginia was the kindest, and even knit us hearts. Note: Do bring supplies for eating, but in case you forget, they’ll even provide you pasta, snacks, etc. Highly recommend.

One of the best Albergue in El Camino. Fantastic building with modern and clean facilities restored by the Xunta, and only 10€/bed. M° Eugenia was very friendly & helpful, she drove us to the Cantina de Renche so we ate there. Remember to bring food for dinner! Follow the signs leaving the Camino to Sarria in front of the Church in San Cristobo do Real. You can call to this number to confirm, but it is open all year from 13 to 22h (+34679422847).

I agree with the other reviews that this is the best albergue at the Camino. It's inside a beautiful, newly renovated castle in a very quiet area. The host, Eugenia, is extremely kind and makes sure that everything is perfect. There was a heater, so I felt very warm and slept like a baby. It's very clean.

Staying at this hostel, which is set in a beautifully renovated castle by the Xunta of Galicia, was one of the highlights of my Camino journey. For just €10 a night, you get the experience of sleeping in a luxurious setting, though , and of course, the accommodations are simple bunk beds. The entire space feels more like a museum than a typical hostel, with its historic charm and grandeur. One thing to note is that you need to bring your own food, as there's no kitchen service available. However, I didn't find this to be a problem, as there’s a lovely bar about a 10 min walk away, though their kitchen closes at 7 pm. I highly recommend this hostel to anyone walking the Camino. It's a unique and memorable stop that blends history with comfort.

One of the best Albergue i have been on El Camino. Fantastic renovated castle, surrounded by forest, with modern and clean facilities for only 10€/bed. The lady was so nice, she offered some food to share. The place is off grid so you need to bring food for dinner, a kitchen is there ! Follow the signs when in San Cristobo do real or google maps . It is worth the 10m detour .
