Albergue La Huella

Wow! What a perfect place to rest. Especially now, in December, with long sections of walking between any food or drink or rest, La Huella is an oasis. The dorms are spacious, with lockers and bedside reading lights and chargers. They offer clean cotton sheets too! The bathrooms are spotless. The restaurant is run by Alejandro, the owner, and he is an incredible chef combining regional flavors and inventive personal style. I will not forget the lovely dinner I just ate and which I’ll surely be grateful and strong for tomorrow. The restaurant is beautiful with a TV on one end — ‘Pride and Prejudice’ was playing with Spanish subtitles, on zero volume. A very pleasant experience to glance a little at the movie while enjoying my meal quietly. What I love most about this place is the presence of the family that runs it :) They are kind and softhearted, and I feel safe and happy here and almost sorry to leave tomorrow. And maybe this is of interest to warm weather folks — there’s a pool at the back! An oasis for sure. Definitely a top albergue on the Camino Frances!

The facilities here are truly top-tier. The building is modern, spotlessly clean, and clearly maintained with tremendous care. The beds were incredibly comfortable, offering a much-needed deep sleep after a long day of walking. The showers and restrooms were immaculate and spacious—a real luxury on the Camino! There are ample communal areas, with a cozy lounge, making it easy to relax and socialize. Everything feels new, well-designed, and built with the pilgrim's comfort in mind What truly sets this albergue apart, however, is the host and the personal attention given to every guests by The hospitaleros. It felt less like a hostel and more like a home. Their kindness and dedication made all the difference. If you are looking for a place to rest, recharge, and feel truly cared for on your journey, look no further. This albergue is an absolute gem. Very clean and modern albergue with excellent facilities. Everything is well maintained, with a swimming pool, spacious common areas and a friendly, relaxed atmosphere among pilgrims. The staff are extremely kind and helpful. They offer a pilgrim menu between 6:00 and 8:00 p.m., generous portions and good quality. Comfortable beds from €15, great value for money. A perfect place to rest and recover after a long stage. Better to book in advance, as it usually gets full. Highly recommended!

One of the best albergues I've stayed in, if not the best. Very clean. Very quiet at night. Female only bunk room. Very comfortable bunk beds with a pillow, sheets and a blanket. It felt like luxury for an albergue. And so much space to chill and rest outside and inside in the afternoon. Nice options on the menu too for both pilgrim meal and al a carte. Highly recommend!

Highly recommended! I arrived at this albergue after a very exhausting first day, and it was just what I needed. The woman who was there during the day was very kind, and the man in the evening was also extremely friendly. My spouse and I stayed in a private room, which was very clean, and the food was absolutely delicious. There’s even a swimming pool in the backyard! We’ve been walking the Camino for 10 days now, and this has definitely been the best place so far. You should all experience it for yourselves!
