From the moment we stepped into the albergue, Patricia the hostess, has been nothing but accommodating and made us feel immediately at ease. The albergue and the rooms are very cozy and homey feeling and the ideal to rest after a long day spent walking. It’s a few small rooms with not too many beds, so it doesn’t get too cramped in a room. Also the dinner was really good and Patricia even went out of her way to cook something different for me, because of how limited I am with food. Can only recommend this place to my fellow pilgrims. Thanks you for the wonderful stay Patricia!
The hostel is OK, even if it's very dirty everywhere and cats run around the pool. The worst thing is the dinner. They added tables and divided the food between far too many people. It was horribly tasteless and thrown together and there was far too little of it. There was cream for dessert.
I'm sorry to say that quality drop down in the last years for this albergue. They force you to stay in your room until 7:30, you can just go to the toilet, they close 80% of the toilets just to do not clean them, same for the showers, coming up with "we are painting the walls" (not true) they close the front door and do not let you out until 7:30, I don't even think that's legal. Food was decent but overpriced. Comon room was cold until 6 in the evening. Greedy and welcoming only on the surface.
• 40€ for private double room w/ 2 twin beds and 10€ for bunk bed. seem to be either 4 person or 8 person rooms for bunk beds, sheets/blankets provided • very quiet and well heated • separate men and women bathrooms. 3 sets of showers, sinks, and toilets for each • good hot water • all rooms are ground level (yay no stairs!) • feels like a big cozy home esp w the host family chatting and cooking at the other end of the very long hallway • 6€ breakfast (coffee, tea, cereal, toast, croissant, boiled eggs, yogurt, apples) •14€ dinner (fideuá, chicken, bread/wine, watermelon) •small items like water, ramen, alcohol (even korean soju!), ice cream etc sold in home. kitchen use only for the hosts • decent wifi. my room was at the very end of the hallway so somewhat weak
Nice little Albergue run by a family. Hot stronge shower, strong bunk bed. Nice place for sun dry the clothes and good priglimage dinner!
