The facilities are excellent, but what truly makes this hostel special is the family who runs it — an Italian couple who welcome every guest with rare kindness and genuine warmth. From the very first moment, I felt like part of their family. The dinner was wonderful — a real Italian meal prepared with love. The penne al pesto was simply perfect, and since I’m vegetarian, they kindly adapted the second course for me. They make it even more special because all the pilgrims eat together sharing experience and how the Camino has contributed to the spiritual life; The dessert was delicious and made the evening even more memorable. It was one of the most heartfelt and welcoming experiences I’ve had on the Camino. A place where you can truly feel the love behind every detail.
During our walk on the Camino de Santiago, we stayed here for one night and felt so warmly welcomed by the owners and their staff, especially our son. The Italian dishes were absolutely delicious — a real treat on the Camino where you don’t usually expect such great food. It was also a delight to enjoy a change of cuisine from the usual Northern Spanish meals. I had seen one negative review beforehand, but our experience was nothing like that — everything was wonderful. If you’re on the Camino and looking for kind hosts and excellent food, this is a perfect stop.
First of all; this albergue is run by true Camino- angels! Location, atmosphere, rooms, garden, bar, communal dinner, all was absolutely fantastic. But what really makes this place great is that the owners are pilgrims who do this out of love for the Camino and its pilgrims. And you can find that love in every detail. What amazed me as well is that, when I stayed there, there were only 11 pilgrims but still they opened op all the rooms so that everyone could have a down bed. Unfortunately, in the evening I got very sick. They called an ambulance, drove behind it to the clinic, and the next day they came to pick me up from the hospital 60km away. Cleaned up my mess, washed and hang my clothes to dry, they went above and bevond to help me in such a loving way I will never forget. Dont miss out on this place!
One of the best albergues in my Camino! Hosts are amazing, the structure is comfortable and bathroom showers is clean, smells good and with lots of space to shower and change. Plus, there is a cute garden and a pilgrim dinner. I absolutely loved it!
A lovely end to a warm day. Clean and organized and one of the most delicious meals so far on our Camino. They were unique to what is normally offered, pesto pasta, then meatballs, then a lovely ice cream. The hosts were warm and kind. Huge recommend.
