This place has the same problem as so many others on the Camino — no competition, so they can pretty much do whatever they want. They don’t post their prices outside for a very good reason. The food is garbage and seriously overpriced — €15 for a disgusting frozen pizza.
Bad place to stay, owner hanging drunk on his own bar, fights with you if you wants your money back you payed in advance because he refuses to see the bed you have to sleep on. You want not even let your dog sleep on it.
PILGRIMS AVOID THIS PLACE! I stopped there for a pizza, asked to pay immediately after the order, but the lady refused. Pizza arrived in 3 minutes because it’s just frozen pizza heated up- very blunt and boring. Ordered 4cheese pizza, but got margarita. Then I went to pay and they charged me 16 EUROS for this ONE pizza!!! They definitely trap pilgrims!
I am honestly struggling to find the right amount of stars. The beds are like in some Albergue noisy and with very bad matrasses. They actually put 1 bunk bed too much in the rooms. There is just little space and only 3 power sockets in the room. That's alright for me. I charged my phone downstairs in the bar where it had more options. The downside was the bathroom and the food. For 15€ !! they served a paella that came Out of the freezer. In Buen Camino app says the price was 8.5 for the pilgrims meal, which was quite disappointing. In the bathrooms the light would go out after a second of you move and the toilet had no toilet seats for some reason. The staff was friendly. Be kind as they only speak a little English. The bar hast been on tab, coffees and snacks. Breakfast with croissant was good. If it stays like this I would not come back again. The menu, bed and bathroom situation are a bit too much to take.
What a great place. I had my first proper rest since Leon. The room was very comfortable, the shower was great. I had a terrace to wake up with sunrise. Try the lentejas, they’re great! Oh and the town is just stunning. Make some time to explore properly! Only point of improvement would be to have some plant based milk. Will stay here again on my next Camino.
