Quite seriously had one of the best nights in Camino. The place is off the main road in a small quiet town. The host was very kind to offer us a private bunk bed room for only two of us. Thank you!! In the evening they did not cook but offered to select the food from the menue from a local restaurant and someone would have brought it by car. What else do you want before hitting the road for the final leg?
Very clean and inviting Albergue, there is lots of space in the dorms and alot of light! The owner is extremely friendly and forthcoming and has the most beautiful garden, where you can relax after a long day and have beer and wine. We absolutely loved our stay here and our next time on the Camino we will definitely come back!
The place is super quiet, 900 metres off the Camino route. No food available in 1km range (with the exception of ordering pizza to the owner that collect it and bring it back to the hostel)
Well worth the extra steps to get here. Far from the loud road so more peaceful than other nearby options. No food within 700 meters but the owner will drive you to food options. I had my best night of albergue sleep at this spot.
Rural Astrar was a very nice, clean, and friendly Albergue. We were very fortunate being the only pilgrims that night. It has a lovely big kitchen with a great hd tv. We watched the Argentina-Netherlands world cup match. It is a little hidden, off the main road but well worth it. A very quaint and beautiful little town where the inhabitants are super friendly. My in-laws along with my wife and sister-in-law met a lovely older couple from town on their daily walk. They proceeded to have a great conversation about pueblo life and the region. They gave hugs and all. Again, gives me hope in humanity. To conclude I recommend this Albergue. Just know that you will have to ask for a ride into town in order to pick up groceries. The owners are nice enough to take you if you ask.
