As a Portuguese who lives in London and decided to go to Portugal via Santiago de compostela and stay overnight, I have to say that casa da balconada and their staff made me feel right at home, while not at home yet. What a wonderful and friendly place. And always ready to help. Also, if you enjoy sleeping in a peaceful and quiet house, street and overall area, I couldn't suggest this place more. It was beautiful.
Excellent and very friendly service. Two thumbs up for Cristina 👍👍 Room was just perfect. Great location, a step away from Santiago cathedral. This is the place to stay when visiting Santiago.

Very charming and clean. We were greeted warmly and were well taken care of by the hosts. It was a perfect place to stay upon finishing the Camino Portuguese.
I love this hotel! It’s right around the corner from the cathedral. It’s beautiful. It’s clean. It’s cozy. Christine is welcoming and awesome and so helpful. Great restaurants are close by. I will be back next time I’m in Santiago. Highly recommend staying here!
