One of the worst hotels I've ever stayed in. At nearly 2am I arrived and was given a room with two single beds, not a king as booked. The man on reception was horrible and unhelpful. Said the hotel was fully booked and there was nothing he could do. I was exhausted and in pain and he did nothing to help. At one point he cancelled my booking and told me to leave the hotel, presumably expecting me to sleep on the street!! The next day rather than calling my room phone or mobile number that they had on file and I'd just give them, a man from the hotel let himself into my room!! As a woman on her own this was terrifying and entirely unacceptable. No apology given there's absolutely no soundproofing in this hotel, it is the noisest I've ever stayed in. The room I was put in was opposite a nightclub where people were shouting and screaming until 5.30am. Then the other guests started shouting in the corridor at about 7am and the housekeeping was slamming around from about 8am. There were kids screaming in the rooms next to me and in the corridors. I didn't sleep at all. The bed is so hard and uncomfortable I ached the next day. The hotel itself is old and dated, with several steps to get into the hotel (and nobody to help with bags). Staff are unhelpful and rude. I have no idea how it was given a 5 stars. Eventually they refunded 1 night after making me late and miss a tour arguing. There was no manager on duty at any time I was there from Sat night to Monday lunch time and I was not permitted to speak to the manager on the phone. This is not a safe hotel for women to travel on their own to.

This is advertised as 5 star hotel. It is not. There were no basic coffee/tea making facility in the room & only a basic shower over bath in the bathroom. Hairdrier did not work in our room and took a long time to get fixed. It has a beautiful foyer & a nice pool area (pool is uniformly deep however) & the service was generally very good. Location is pretty close to the Old Town.

Excellent hotel on the edge of Old Town, with paid parking garage and decent gym for a hotel. Many restaurants in the immediate area

What a great find a block away from the old Santiago square. Easy 3 minute walk to the square and 5 min to the Cathedral. Tons of restaurants, shopping, etc. Front desk was very kind, even helped me check in a little early. Parking in the underground garage is indeed tight, but just take your time - don’t be afraid to do 3 point turns around the corners and numerous poles, you’ll be fine. So nice to have parking right off hotel elevator. Room is spacious and nice. Has mini fridge, large bath and shower, bidet, desk, luggage table, sitting area. Comfortable bed and nice linens - towels were fluffy and soft, good selection of shampoos, lotions and soap. Daily housekeeping was excellent. Probably my favorite was the AMPLE artwork throughout the hotel, from the second you walk into the lobby, through every single hallway and stairwell and room - tons of fun, beautiful original art. It was fun to just walk the hallways and look. Well done, Eurostar. You made a great trip to Santiago de Compostela even better.

Beautiful, comfortable hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. We stayed here in 2012 after walking the Camino. It was great then and is still great.
