Albergue Parroquial de Santibáñez

I had a great experience here, the hosts were very accommodating. We opted for the pilgrim dinner and it was a fantastic home cooked meal. Yes, the bathrooms are outside and the rooms are not heated. However, for a seasoned traveler with the right gear in winter, this Albergue is suitable. Would I overall recommend this place? Yes.

The worst hostel ever, in the Camino and in all my life. Hospitality and cleaning very bad, the kitchen is dirty, all the pans and bowls are dirty and oily and sticky. We were there 2 years ago and still don't forgot the badness of that place. The hospitalero was having sex with the "cooker" after one bottle of wine, just at 10pm in the garden. All the village could heard them, worst experience ever. In the bedroom there were chinchas (bad bugs). Don't go there, please. I'm not kidding.

The worst albergue during my whole Camino. Even though it's "parroquial", it has nothing to do with the rest of the albergues of this kind I have been to. Hospitality and kindness totally lack. The Brazilian women there are very rude and disrespectful. Negative vibes all over the place. They have no idea what the true meaning of volunteering is. Horrible experience...

Difficult to communicate but the father was so naturally joyish it was easy to overlook my discomfort. Ex bathroom outside difficulty opening the door, inside the bathroom only open @ night?

There is only cold shower unfortunately. Bathroom is outside. The top of the bunk bed is so low, you can’t even sit down if you are using bottom bed. Not recommend….
