Very clean, excellent position only five minutes walk from the cathedral and a supermarket round the corner and loads of restaurants just across the road. Recommended. My room had a washbasin and balcony, excellent for washing clothes and drying them, for pilgrims on the Camino.

Lovely host! The place was squeaky clean, airy, and very spacious. The host provided lots of helpful information and made me feel very welcome. It's located right in the heart of town centre and about 4 mins walk from Camino de Santiago.

I had a truly awful experience here. I stayed in October 2015 whilst walking the Camino de Santiago and decided to treat myself by staying in this Pension for the night. I had to wait in the owners Bar/Restaurant for over half an hour before finally getting the key and then paid €30, supposedly the special price for Pilgrims, for a room with three beds. There were long black hairs in the bathroom and shower and another in the first bed so I chose to sleep in the next bed. I was cold during the night as the heating had been turned off so took the blankets off the 3rd bed to keep myself warm. In the morning I left the key in the postbox as instructed and went to have breakfast at a local cafe. Whilst sitting outside a woman in her late 30's approached me and asked me in Spanish if I had stayed in Pensión Miguel to which I replied yes. She asked me where the key was and I told her in Spanish that it was in the post box. She (who I now understood to be the owner of Pensión Miguel) then began shouting at me saying that I owed her more money as I had used all three beds. My Spanish wasn't good enough to explain what had happened but I told her I had paid €30 and was not paying any more than that. She continued shouting at me saying something about why I had not stayed in an Albergue, that I was a bad person and finally wished me a "Mal (Bad) Camino!" which was the first and only time on the entire Camino de Santiago. If this wasn't bad enough she then walked away only to stop to talk to a Friend or Neighbour and once again began shouting and pointing in my direction. I finally had to leave my half eaten breakfast as the other customers on the terrace were staring at me To say I was shocked by this woman's behaviour towards me is an understatement. Her wishing me a "Mal Camino!" really unsettled me but thankfully the rest of my day was filled with "Buen Caminos" from my fellow Peregrinos/Pilgrims. Avoid the place if you can.

I spent a night at Pension Miguel while walking the Camino de Santiago. The location is perfect, close to the restaurants, bars, the cathedral, and every other of Santo Domingo's points of interest. If you like peace and quiet, Pension Miguel is perfect for you. I got a good night's sleep and was ready to go in the morning. I was by myself, but was put in a triple room. There was plenty of space for me and my stuff. The owner, Maite, is very kind and showed me everything I needed to know on a map of the city when I checked in. A very good option, both in terms of price and location, if you are walking the Camino de Santiago.
