We picked this place based on reviews and the reviews were correct!! Beautiful albergue attached to a cafe/bar, but not above it, so you don’t get the bar noise whatsoever. When we arrived, the heat was blazing (a bit too hot at times, but a nice contrast to the downpour of rain outside.) and the welcome from the hosts was just as warm. The rooms are limited to only about 4 people, so you don’t have too many room mates. There is a washing machine and dryer (4€ for wash, 1€ for 11 minutes of dry time), a foot massage machine that gets you a glorious 5-minute massage for 2€, a cozy little kitchen, and an absolutely gorgeous garden that was inviting and beautiful, even in the rain. It’s always a joy to stay in a place that is clearly run by those who have been pilgrims themselves. Highly recommend!!

Well recommended Albergue. Jose saved us a long hike due to another hotel mismsrketing of location. Friendly, clean and very helpful. Nice outlook from our room. Well recommended!

The place is well located right next to El Camino, with the staff being friendly and attentive. However, the rooms in the front of the albergue are next to the main road which makes it quite a noisy place to sleep. The facilities are OK. There was only one bathroom and shower to share with 6 other guests and no common indoor area other than the kitchen. The back garden area is nice but full of spiders, especially near the walls of the building. In general, I felt the placed was a bit overpriced for what I got but do recommend for anyone doing El Camino who’s just looking for a place to stay for the night and doesn’t plan on using the facilities (laundry, kitchen, common areas). FYI: Sarria is a busy little town where many peregrinos start their journey so it’s probably best, especially for those looking for peace and quiet, to stay in an albergue before or after Sarria.

The experience I had in this albergue was nothing short of amazing. There is an extremely cute fireplace and sofa in the first shared room. Right next door, there is an awesome kitchen with an ADORABLE garden. There is no better way to enjoy the end of a long day than having a beer with the cool evening sun shining. Even in the rain, we sat under the umbrella and enjoyed each other’s company. There is also a very nice bathroom and a dining table with leaflets that grows to be very large. In addition to the facilities, the owner is incredible. He is so caring and kind. I was having a particularly bad day my first of two evenings here and he was very thoughtful and comforting. 10/10 recommend staying here.

We really enjoyed our stay here, the man who owns the place is very decent. Good kitchen for cooking, good bathrooms. Beautiful garden in the back. Front bedroom (ours) gets very hot if the windows are left open (August). I would 100% recommend this place to anybody. I read a bunch of reviews of this place after staying here, a couple appeared to be of place. The kitchen is extremely well stocked. This is one of the best Albergue’s I’ve stayed in.
