Albergue Casa Peltre

I checked in this afternoon and the accommodation initially looked great – the room and location were both ideal. Unfortunately, after inspecting my mattress, I found multiple bed bugs. I contacted the owner via WhatsApp and he responded quickly, came up right away, was very apologetic, and kindly offered me a new bed. Sadly, I also found bugs on that one, so I decided to request a refund and move elsewhere. It’s a real shame, as the place had a lot of potential. Personally, I feel that simply changing and washing the bedding may not be enough to resolve the issue (which was what we saw) and a more thorough treatment of the space may be necessary which could be difficult to carry out with several other guests currently staying there.

Our bags got left behind in the previous town, and our host was super helpful in helping us get them back before we had to go to the next town. Really appreciate his support and willingness. Overall was a great stay at the hostel as well.

I stayed here last night and I loved it. Super location, a beautiful interior, very nice welcome, cotton sheets, very reasonable price. Had a well equipped kitchen and a lovely garden area. Maybe my favourite stay so far. Thank you!

Manuel the host was extremely gracious, helpful and friendly. Amazing little family home with a stunning common area very conducive to a good night in hanging out with other pilgrims. The beds are clean with blankets available. 2 showers both very well maintained and ample hot water. Easy access to shops, Church and restaurants. Highly recommended.

Loved the style, huge windows, beautiful little fireplace in the room, the bedsheets seemed clean and the water was very hot. However, only two bathrooms/toilets were not enough, and out of two induction cookers one wasn't working. Still, a lovely place to stay.
