Albergue La Casona

Now that I’ve completed el Camino - starting from Sarria - I reckon this as the best place where I spent a night. Clean rooms, loving the stone walls. Free refreshments and beers at the lounge were a plus. Breakfast was just superb. Marcela’s dedication to detail and customer experience was just outstanding. Will definitely repeat when I’m back.

A wonderful place to stay overnight during the Camino. The hostess is warm and experienced as a pilgrim, having created an outstanding place where, after a whole day of walking, you will find peace and quiet in the atmosphere of old Galicia' home.

Such nice place and host! I really liked the room, it was clean, comfortable, the albergue very well equipped. Breakfast amazing! The only inconvenience was that i slept on the ground floor and the wooden ceiling was creaking a lot due to the room upstairs. I guess these old houses are like that, just be prepared for that!

Oh my, what a find!! Marcela is the most gracious host. Our room was magnificent; clean, comfortable, and quiet. Marcela greeted us so warmly. She instantly connected to us, 2 Pilgrims, spending the night in Sarria. She made her home our home. We loved every minute of our stay. Highly recommend. You will not be disappointed.

Stayed here at the start of the Camino Walk. Friendly staff who were able to suggest places to eat at. They have a sister hostel some 200 meters away. Good facilities albeit basic and comfy bed.
