Casa Solance was one of the loveliest properties we've stayed in. The rooms and the property are meticulous and well planned at every detail. The location is the best spot there is as well. The biggest gem of this location are the incredible hosts, Jorge and Ricardo. They were thoughtful, kind and generous. They made all our students and leadership team feel right at home, welcomed and supported. I cannot recommend this property and these humans enough. If you are on the Camino and coming through Sarria, stop at Casa Solance for the highlight of your journey. We can't wait to come back!
We had the absolute pleasure of staying with Ricardo, an exceptional host whose warmth and care could be felt in every detail of his beautiful guesthouse. Once old ruins, he has lovingly restored it into a welcoming and homely space that radiates charm and comfort. Each morning, Ricardo prepared a thoughtfully presented breakfast — nourishing, delicious, and perfect fuel for pilgrims continuing their Camino journey. A truly memorable stay that set a high standard for hospitality along the way.
This is a fantastic and elegant place to stay along the Camino de Santiago route. The owners are friendly and very helpful. The rooms are ideal for a good night's rest after a long day of walking. The patio and garden are beautifully maintained. Breakfast was delicious, served nicely, and the area is beautifully decorated.
I am on days 33 & 34 of walking the Camino Frances and Casa Solance has been a beautiful place to stay for two nights. Jorge is a wonderful host and bedroom 1 was absolutely gorgeous. Very quiet, great views and a wonderful bed and fantastic bathroom. Close to restaurants and Santa Marina which is a beautiful church. Highly recommend and would definitely stay again. Their garden is a beautiful area to enjoy a herbal tea or a beverage before bed too.
