Room clean and tidy. Nice shower. But total absence of staff. Arriving at the door you guess you need to phone the number on the board (pity the atoning pilgrim traveling without a phone or anyone with no Spanish or English). Various codes are needed to get into the ‘hotel’ and then to your room. No information in the room about anything. No ability to turn on or control the room heating (externally controlled) and staff were very unresponsive to our questions. Avoid
The hostel is very well located in the small town. It has excellent access to many shops and places of interest. It's true that there aren't many signs at the entrance, but the inside is very nice. The rooms are fully equipped, clean, and have everything you need. We didn't see the hostel staff during our stay; there's no receptionist or anything, but they kept in touch with us at all times by phone. It's a really good place. They also allow dogs and are pet-friendly.
The room was nice, it's a shame there wasn't a fan! Otherwise, it was spacious. Everything is automated, which is convenient, but there's no clothesline. The location is perfect, right on the way out of Sarria!
Good location, but with some drawbacks. The location is quite good, although getting back from the center involves climbing hills, which is very typical in Galicia. Upon arrival, the first impression isn't the best: it seems quite old. However, the room was fine, simple but sufficient for a pilgrim. The biggest drawback is the complete lack of staff at the accommodation. There's no one available in person. The woman who handles inquiries via WhatsApp made excuses for not giving me my pilgrim accreditation, trying to get me to come and pick it up. She gave me a time to hand it over, but her colleague ended up arriving later. What if I hadn't been able to wait? This lack of professionalism creates a certain sense of insecurity. In short: adequate for spending the night as a pilgrim, but with room for improvement in customer service.
Although the first impression is not the best, once in the room everything changes, it is very cozy and comfortable.
