I stayed at this hostel for one night while walking the Camino, and the location couldn’t be more convenient – it’s right on the trail and next to the train station. The staff were genuinely friendly and welcoming, which made check-in smooth and pleasant. The dorm beds were comfortable and clean, with great features like privacy curtains, individual reading lights, power outlets, and a built-in locker with a key – very practical and secure. However, the provided bedding didn’t seem freshly laundered; it looked like it had been reused, which was a bit off-putting. Unfortunately, the shared facilities left much to be desired. The bathroom was dirty, and the kitchen was sticky and full of flies, making it an unappealing place to prepare or eat food. My room had no window, so the air became stuffy quickly and there was no real ventilation. Overall, this hostel has great potential thanks to its location and helpful staff, but cleanliness and basic comfort in the common areas need serious improvement.

Bunks are well designed. They are spacious, solid and offer curtains and charging ports. Air conditioning in the hostel is a plus. The bathrooms are somewhat adventurous though. Only 2 showers for about 25 beds, and they are in the same room as 2 toilets. Smell and cleanliness were a bit of an issue.

The bed had a curtain, which gave great privacy. There was a light and a power outlet next to the bed. The kitchen was well-equipped and had a fridge.

**The Cocoon Dream: Hostel Andaina** Ever wanted to sleep in a futuristic pod like you’re the main character in some sci-fi movie? Well, at Hostel Andaina, you basically can! The sleeping pods here are an albergue game-changer. No more waking up to every creaky bed, blinding light, or pilgrim doing their midnight bathroom shuffle. These pods are cozy, private, and so comfy that I literally stayed in to watch a movie instead of exploring. It’s like hibernating in the best way possible. Each pod comes with its own lockable cabinet (perfect for keeping your snack stash safe), a conveniently located power outlet, USB port, a light, and a handy little shelf for your electronics. So, no more late-night panic when your phone lights up and you accidentally dial your ex while fumbling with it in the dark. The showers? Spacious enough that you don’t do an awkward balancing act with your shampoo. And yes, they have hooks for your clothes (you’d think that would be a given, but it’s sadly a rarity). The toilets? Let’s just say they’re up for any challenge. Add to that a super friendly staff, and this place feels like a little slice of heaven after a long day’s walk. Whether you want some alone time or just to drift off in your own pod-shaped cocoon, Andaina has you covered. 10/10, would pod again.

Great hostel, particularly liked the curtains giving each bed privacy.
