Really nice receptionist who went the extra mile because I was a tourist to give me local knowledge. Great room with air conditioning. The town is lovely with bars and restaurants along the riverbank.
A very good hotel with incredible staff! P.S. I left my glasses in the hotel and Ms Fátima did everything to send them for me to Santiago de Compostela so that I could get them back. So helpful of her! I am very grateful indeed and strongly recommend the hotel.
I would definitely recommend Hotel Duerming to fellow pilgrims on the Camino. I was quite impressed by the customer service that Fatima provided. Upon checking in, I mixed up my travel dates. Fatima worked with my tour company and reassured me that it was all going to work out. Her zen calmed my nerves and lo and behold my travel dates were all revised for the remainder of my trip. I had a lovely night sleep and really appreciated the delicious breakfast before I started my journey to Portomarín!
We came midnight and Manuel and Fatima at the front desk are very accomodating and helpful with our needs since we arrived and the whole stay in Sarria. The breakfast is GREAT! The room is new and very nice. You can get your passport and shell here, too for Compostela pilgrims. Will definitely refer this hotel to friends. We LOVE the place!
Check in today October 5th , we arrived at the hotel after 6pm, Check in okay. Went to dinner and returned to the hotel, and there was no water. No water for shower, No water in the commode, nor any running water from the sink to wash your hands. Went down to Hotel front desk to let them know, the front desk act surprise as he didn’t know or this is the first of the water problems. Apparently this problem had occurred last night I had spoke to a couple and said there is a water pipe that broke. No water for the night, but had water during the day. So the hotel knew about the problem but ignored to less us know while we were checking in this early evening after six pm October 5. At least they could let us know that the water will be shut off at night, so we could have at least cleaned ourselves. My gosh how am I supposed to take a shower or use the restroom.
