I gave an extra star because of Marcela's inspirational & motivational speech in perfect English before our group set off on their Camino, especially on how we should change our lives post camino. You get the picture, service is excellent here including you can help yourself to a free wine from La Mancha when you check-in. My bedroom itself was pretty basic without a TV ( I watch it for the Galician weather forecast). It's also getting cold on 12th October so the heating needs to be turned on. The bathroom was in front which it is what it is. The dinner was tasty at the restaurant next door, La Salina Colmado. The breakfast was good with tasty bread & pancakes & the picnic more than adequate. Overall, I would recommend the discerning pilgrim to stay here because of Marcela herself. The property has some historic charm too with some deficiencies but it's clean & tidy & well maintained.
This room was booked by our agency. Marcela was very helpful when we asked if we could drop off our suitcases before returning our car in Lugo. They opened the door for us during closed hours. The room was very clean and the staff was very helpful and friendly. The breakfast was good and plentiful. Perfect for our first day of el Camino.
Charming and abundant, great for an overnighter along the Camino. The owner is magical and kind. Lovely breakfast and lots of nice touches to surprise the weary walker.
Marcela - you're a superstar! Our Camino could not have started better. The accomodation was 5-star: excellent room, comfy bed, clean sheets, spacious balcony, everything you need in the bathroom. Plus free wine, softdrinks, water and kitchen facilities with access to a gorgeous garden. The pilgrim breakfast was amazing too. Didn't think I would get a chance to meet and mingle with other pilgrims but Marcela created a whole vibe with the way they do breakfast. It was an excellent jump off point for anyone starting their Camino in Sarria. This place is highly recommended, not just for the facility but also for their amazing hospitality.
