May '23 Monica is a lovely genuine & kind host who's smile welcomes you. I met a Canadian/Polish couple whilst staying here who I'd wished to have kept in touch with. I having started in St Jean they were some of most fun company during the whole 700kms. Back to Pensión Casa do Gallo Sarria and all I can say is highly recommended. Of apx 35 accommodations Monica's felt the most home from home. Like visiting a relative. Thank you Monica.
This has been the best place we stayed during our Camino de Santiago trip. The room is extremely comfortable, clean and nicely decorated and Monica is a great host. She is extremely welcoming and friendly making you feel at home. There is a nice kitchen to prepare some breakfast and she provides you with bread and some other stuff. The terrace is also super nice with great views. I can’t recommend this place enough!
Wow. We received such a warm welcome from Monica and couldn’t have stayed at a nicer pension. It’s spotlessly clean everywhere and the bedroom with private bathroom was like new. There’s a well stocked communal kitchen, breakfast included and a terrace with fabulous views plus washing machine/dryer (4€ each) and an area to hang out wet clothes etc. Monica gave us so much interesting info on Sarria. We especially liked the location, being on the edge of town with the Camino route just across the road and a short walk downhill to the old town. Would definitely stay here again and highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet, clean, friendly place to stay with all the essentials you need when walking the Camino. Thank you, Monica!
Very nice lodging. Host was Monica who was very helpful and kind. She doesn't speak English but used a translation app on her phone to give us all kinds of helpful advice. I'd definitely stay there again. The room was spotlessly clean, compact with a lovely shower room.👍
Great place and location. Very friendly owner. Toast provided for breakfast. The walls are however very thin, you will hear everything the other guests are doing or saying. Especially at night. Most guests were pretty considerate though and were quiet after 11pm.
