Pensión Matias Rooms

I would not recommend this accommodation for the following reasons: 1. The check-in process is handled remotely by the owner and is not a smooth process. 2. It is advertised as having a kitchen, which it doesn’t. 3. I had to request the login details for the wifi multiple times. 4. When I got up in the morning the lights/power in my room wasn’t working. I messaged the owner for help but they never responded. I tried ringing them but the ignored my calls. As I was leaving early I had to pack up my belongings in the dark. Yes it’s a cheap room, but it’s cheap or a reason. I’d recommend trying somewhere else.

When we arrived there was no way to enter the building and nothing in our confirmation indicating how to get in. When we finally reached someone through their website phone number they arrived within about 5 minutes. Didn’t show us around just gave us a key and pointed up the stairs. The room itself was fine for the price. The beds were old and like sleeping on old springs. The walls are very thin. Which means there was noise until very late and starting really early and every time some one used the shared bathroom. The location was good, adjacent to the Camino and near the historical area. I would not recommend this accommodation.

Rooms were ok for the price. A little noisy but clean. Location is good next to el camino but the service was terrible. Nobody is there and when I sent the owner a message on WhatsApp asking she never replied. I would give negative stars for customer service.

I found this pension Matias rooms but was taken to apto Rua Maior; which has a lot Of negative reviews. Obviously the owner has 2 hostels. The pictures were from the other hostel Bedsheets not clean, main light broken,lamp broken, door didn’t lock, not that clean, heating didn’t work as it was raining and cold when I arrived. Avoid

Excellent place to stat in Sarria. The best place I have been on nu Camino so far. Clean, own kitchen and living, bathroom and bedroom for a very good price.
