Beautiful, renovated building in the center of the village. Lovely shared areas, especially the terraces with a view. Very clean. No proper insulation between the rooms, you could hear every word from next door. The village is very small and everything is closed on a Tuesday night so this is the only place to get a meal - if there's space. If we had known this we would have booked. No AC.
This is the most incredible place. Seriously, like a palacial version of an Albergue. The hospitalero was awesome, greeted us so kindly even though we arrived before it officially opened for the day. I can't speak more highly of this place. Ooh and the cafe/bar/restaurant just down the road - seriously delicious! Loved this place.
This is certainly one of the more impressive albergues on the Camino. It's situated in a former monastery which has been tastefully renovated. Dorms were well equipped although not very spacious. New (bunk) beds. Unfortunately, the outside (especially the terrace) haven't been taken good care of. They were plastered with bird droppings. Cleanliness would benefit from an upgrade.
After my bike crash on the Camino, I spend 4 days at Palacio Sansol. I couldn’t dream of a better place to get “stuck”. The building in the quite little town is impressive. I feel lucky to spend time in a historical, nicely renovated unique place like Palacio Sansol. Many thanks to Menno to make my stay pleasant and comfortable. If you’re around, this place is worth stopping for!
This is a beautiful place with a lovely welcome from the Hospitalero. The hostel has been beautifully renovated and it is a pleasure to stay there. The only thing that could be improved is the food or ... the cook. The menu, which has been the same for years, should be changed. Really, really, really.
