This is one of the best albergues I have ever stayed at. There is a fireplace that heats the stone house. There are blankets and real bedding! The bathrooms are very clean, there is a kitchen and a refrigerator, as well as everything you need for cooking! The owner of this place, Mariabel, is a lovely, kind-hearted woman. Her assistant, Susana, is a very friendly woman who is also responsible for cleaning and everything else. I felt right at home. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND STAYING AT THIS ALBERGUE!!! It's simply paradise for the three and a half weeks of my Camino.

Room is spacious and clean. Not far from supermarket. Well equipped kitchen. Host is nice and friendly. Cash only I believe. Next door is an excellent bar/restaurant with breakfast Unfortunately got bitten by mosquito here... pretty sure is not bedbug cause I did catch the mosquito 馃槄

A Horta de Abel is a quaint stone house turned into an albergue. The whole house had a vibe like a peek into farm life was with the furnishings, furniture and earthenware. My room was comfortably furnished with an en suite. There was a large garden and even larger vegetable patch.

The people here went above and beyond for my and my 70 year old mom as we walk the Camino Frances. I could not recommend this place more! After four full Caminos this is going on my list of favorite Albergues!

The staff in the hostel saved my life in the Camino when I fell down myself in my bike during downhill. My head was badly hurt. She called the ambulance for me and helped me put my bike and luggage into this hostel. The host was also super nice and messaged us to provide whatever we need. The staffs and the host are super helpful in our stay. They gave useful advice and treat every guest with welcoming heart. The house, the kitchen and the toilet were clean. The bed was spotless with well-prepared bedsheets, pillows and duvet. Shower gels and shampoo were also provided. If I come back to the French route again. I will definitely come back to this hostel.
