I had a delightful stay at this accommodation. The property is beautifully kept, with clean, well-equipped rooms that offer every comfort. A standout feature is the expansive garden, a serene retreat perfect for relaxation, where friendly dogs rest. The calm atmosphere combined with the hosts’ warm hospitality made the experience truly enjoyable. I highly recommend this place for anyone seeking tranquility.
This was one of our favorite places. It’s such a cool looking albergue. Super clean. When we got there, the owner got us situated and then carried our packs up to our room for us. The owner’s name is Javi and is such a good guy. He actually drove us all the way to Samos so we could visit the monastery there. He went out of his way to accommodate us.
Amazing and cozy atmosphere. After long way of Camino I felt like home. Nice kitchen with everything that you need: spicies, oil and etc. Sofas to relax. And the best part was guy from the staff who suggested massage pistol to release tension on my legs. Definitely recommended!
DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOSTEL!!!!! MASSIVE Bed Bug problem. When my family and I arrived the host (Hugo) took us to room number 9 (the triple room with the private bathroom). There were sticky lines on the walls and clear signs there they had bed bug problems previously. After following the protocol my mom said to do, because she had dealt with bed bugs in the past at her father’s house back home, we still found them crawling around on the hostels sheets!!! After taking pictures and videos of the bed bugs that were discovered, we contacted the host ( Hugo). When Hugo arrived we showed him the picture and several videos and simply asked for a refund as we were already looking for another place to stay. This led to one of the most difficult conversations I’d had in my whole life. Hugo first tried to blame us for bringing the bed bugs in, even though none of our bags touched the bed and remained on the floor away from the sticky walls of room 9. And the only thing we had done was shower and change out of our sweaty clothes from the days walk. Hugo, the host, blamed us for not reading the terms and conditions at reception upon arrival. We later found those terms and conditions on a small piece of paper written in Spanish (which none of us speak) not clearly visible. As the host, who is bilingual, I believe that to be Hugo’s job to point that out. He continue to say that we had 10 minutes upon arrival to find any potential bed bugs. However, he did NOT say this to us upon arrival either. He kept coming up with excuses and refused to give us a refund. Then contradicted himself by saying 1) if we left a review we’d get a refund, and 2) wait a few weeks then we’d get a refund - however at that point, being toward the end of pilgrimage season the hostel would be closed but we’d be back home. When we asked about speaking to an owner or manger, he babbled on about being too late (it was around 9pm- the avg time a Spaniard to have dinner - and offered a vague email to the corporate organization that ran the hostel. DO NOT STAY HERE!!! No matter what the overall rating of the hostel says. THEY HAVE A MASSIVE BED BUG PROBLEM, and use band aid solutions so that they can keeping having pilgrims stay here and make money. We then had to leave in the middle of the night to find other accommodation in the small town of Triacastela. One of the worst hospitality experience I’ve ever had.
Hi, there 👋 Want to share my own experience in this marvelous hostel on the way to Santiago. The place is clean and tidy, which is super important for such person like me. The bed is comfortable and also there are kitchen, beautiful garden and the hall for resting here. But the main thing I want to admit is the hospitality of the owner . He was extremely nice and friendly to us ☺️ I had a great time here ))
