2014-06-11 Seinerzeit habe ich hier eine kleine feine Herberge angetroffen und wurde zuvorkommend versorgt. Preis/Leistung passte absolut. Nach 10 Jahren kann ich mich eher mit einem positiven als negativen Gefühl an diese Herberge erinnern, wenn ich mir die Photos und meine Notizen ansehe. Danke für die Gastfreundschaft! :-)
Astorga is the next town so I know they don't receive many people, but they only boiled pasta for dinner and gave me tomato sauce from a can lol. I've never seen anything like this. It's been years but I can't forget this place. I'm not the type to feel the cold, but this is where I spent the coldest night during my pilgrimage. I avoided the noisy Astorga because I wasn't feeling well, but just rest in Astorga. Don't regret taking one more step.
It's open now, even though it appears closed on Google. Excellent service. Very friendly. Spotlessly clean, comfortable, and meticulously maintained. We were delighted with this hostel. They also have a bar for non-pilgrims.
Newly reopened hostel and bar just a few meters from the Camino. Excellent coffee at a great price. The owners are lovely. Highly recommended.
A hostel on the outskirts of Astorga, very rustic and quiet, with beds instead of bunk beds, and run by Yaima, who is wonderful. She goes out of her way for her pilgrims; she's a sweetheart. Thank you, Yaima, and best of luck!
