Thanks for sharing a piece of happiness and paradise. I did not stay here but stopped to ask for coffee and toilet. I knew it wasn't opened but the kind host opened up the reception room to give us the 1 euro machine coffee and let me use the extremely clean toilet. I sat at his courtyard filled with warm sunshine and fresh November air feeling the nature. It was a truly beautiful moment. It was one of the rare moments you experience out of blue. I felt happy even if I am walking this Camino to overcome my crisis. Then the kind host followed me with his bike to give me the jacket I left behind. He is my Camino angel. One of my Camino angels. Thank you again.
One of the nicest albergues in Camino Frances. Rooms and bathrooms are very clean, warm and cosy. Good and calm atmosphere inside and outside the house. Wonderful place to have a rest and recover after a long walk.
Maria and Lalo are simply the best ! This was my second time staying there. I stayed there 6 years ago when they opened. This was my second Camino and I made specific plans to stay there again because of the memories I had from before. This time just as last time didn't disappoint. They have kept the property just like it opened. Immaculate. Maria and Lalo are now fluent in English. Still kind hearted. Maria took me to her garden while Lalo set me my e-bike up to charge. Occasionally I would see their family members come and hang out there and they would invite the Pilgrims to join them too. They have a huge and clean kitchen equipped with lots of dishes. The ambiance is fantastic. It hasn't changed. Near a river. One can listen to the sounds of river, cow bells and watch the most amazing views of the mountains. This Albergue is the last big and well set-up one before the O'cebreiro's big climb. Do not miss this opportunity to visit Maria and Lalo. And if read this review and go there, tell them I said hello. Stephanie from New York ;-)
One of the nicest albergues on the Camino Frances. The hosts are very welcoming and the bunk beds are in small pods consisting of four beds to a pod so that it is easier to have privacy and to reduce night time noise. Excellent cooking facilities and lots of room to sit outside in the shade and relax.
The best place to sleep in the camino, i will come beck, clean and welcoming, lalo is so warm and giving with love all service and the house wine is AMAZINGGGGGGGGGGG.
