Staff friendly and to start with most accommodating. Until the end of the night when the barman tried to charge us for other people’s drinks. The female pilgrims in the cafe were constantly pestered by the locals to the point of intimidation. Find it hard to recommend

Warm welcome to an under-rated hotel that has nicely renovated rooms and is quiet in the rooms despite its location. Worth staying here.

The hospitality from the staff is excellent to say the least. The menu and quality of food is outstanding to say the least, considering how small the town is. We were the ONLY two peregrinos at lunch time and the locals piled in one after another. It’s true testimony to what they serve and what kind of establishment it is. My only regret is that it’s on the opposite side of the Camino trail and misses out on pilgrim revenue but what will sustain them is the local support which is evident. Food is outstanding. Did I say that?! Mucho mucho gracias Alto Páramo Restaurant/hostel

Jesus, Aitana and Nani were very accommodating. It's a smallish hotel but they tried to be accommodating. The shower in our room was a bit complicated until we figured it out. Our room faced the road but it was not that noisy as long as the windows were closed. Overall, a good stay.

We were in room 105. The musty smell in the bathroom was unbearable. When we arrived, it was masked by a very strong air freshener. The toilet was leaking, and we had to turn off the water every time we used it. We had the windows open as long as we could until it rained. The smell was so bad and intolerable that it made us nauseous and we had to leave the room first thing in the morning and stay in the car until breakfast. On the first day when we came down after resting in the afternoon to make the hotel aware of the situation, everybody was gone, closed until the next day. As we left and paid the next morning, the owners were not there and the employee said she could not call them and wake them up until noon. We wanted to have them give us a discount for the despicable situation but there was no recourse. In addition, despite the double windows, the trucks and cars traffic noise was very disturbing. The soundproofing between rooms is not good either. There were no bathmat or bedside lamp. The Wi-Fi does not work in this room. The value for money is very poor. We have been welcomed in many hotels along our journey on the Camino for much less with breakfast included and great accommodations. They even refuse to do anything after we reached out to Bookings.com
