I felt for the first time while walking camino that this albergue is truly traditional and real for pilgrims. The nice pilgrims staying together made it even more special. Thank you to the albergue staff and the owner for your warm welcome and care. I really felt well cared for. 단, 침실이 1순위이신 분은 맞지 않을 수 있어요.
I’d walked to the next town this morn. And saw that a municipal albergue offered coffee. I went in, they explained it was donation. I donated, made coffee and sat down. Was sitting by the fire with a kitty on my lap. A volunteer (the only one around) came in and said he’d be cleaning up in about 5 mins. I said no worries. He repeated no worries back to me but in a bit of a weird way. About 3 mins later he comes over to me and says leave now, go go go and grabs me! And starts pushing me! While the cat is in my lap. I’m shocked and saying ok ok and trying to gently remove the cat. And even tho I’m moving he’s still saying go go and pushing me! I was well aware of the time. I’m too much of a people pleaser to not be. Disgusting for a man to put hands on a woman when she’s literally moving AND has an animal on her lap. Actually he shouldn’t be touching anyone. He shouldn’t be allowed to volunteer there if that’s his attitude. He didn’t touch the man who was also sitting there. Only me.
Very good atmosphere, but a lot of bedbudgs in the female dorm. I’m torn, because I love the place and the hospitality, but I was bitten all over my body. One other girl had this problem, then men didn’t.
Must visit place when you are walking the Santiago way. It is my 4th time and it is always a pleasure to visit the Albergue. Volunteers are nice and Jato, the owner of the place is a living legend. He is super kind to us. The rooms are a bit rusty but I think that is the beauty of the place. Will definitely come back. Thank you for your great hospitality and amazing dinner.
The place is really dirty — very dirty. There’s no hot shower, and it still costs 15 euros. They say it’s 10 euros, but then they add 5 euros for dinner.
