Positives: The place is clean and you get a warm blanket. There is a large garden. Negatives: the downstairs dorm room is very dingy and dark; the guy working there was very rude and unfriendly and didn't explain the rules properly. There was no kitchen (even though I think it says there is) or even a kettle or a tap to get drinking water. I probably would not stay here again.
I'm walking El Camino de Santiago and decided to stay at this hostel. It's really a shame, because the room looked nice, and the lady running the hostel was kind, but there are bedbugs in this hostel. There most certainly are bedbugs in this hostel, and you will get them if you stay here. I left in the late evening because I didn't want to deal with bites and hitchhiking bedbugs.
very friendly host, sheets/pillowcase/blanket provided, outlet (with phone holder!) for every bunk, laundry sink + laundry machines outside in the wonderfully large outdoor sitting area, plenty of space to hang dry laundry. i was in a 10 person shared room equipped with 2 full private bathrooms that lock. hot water sometimes turned cold when i was showering provides microwave, fridge, and plates/utensils (no kitchen sink or stove) good wifi in the room very quiet, just lovely sounds of birds chirping
Ah! Really nice clean spacious and quiet place with a private garden - beautifully decorated. Really comfy and welcoming. Sonia the hospitalera and the owner is very prod if her gorgeous place, she is helpful and takes care of her guesses. Dont hesitate to book here.
The owner Sonia was very attentive and helpful. The Albergue was very clean. We had a lovely garden to relax in. Highly recommend to all Pilgrims passing through Villafranco del Bierzo.
