Maria and her mother saved my friend and I. We arrived late in Bierzo and had no place to stay and all the other albergues were booked up. Poor planning on my part. Thankfully Maria and her mother offered us a place to stay above the main albergue area. We were so grateful. Clean facilities, great laundry service, and a warm shower. Thank you again for your kindness.
This albergue is the essence of the way! Inviting and restorative, large clean rooms and bathrooms, cotton sheets and a, fantastic kitchen. The women who run this albergue are attentive and so friendly. It was a cold October evening so they lit a fire and we drank tea. Highly recommend staying here!
Very cute albergue run by a mother and a daughter who go to great lengths to ensure you have a pleasant stay. There are six beds to a room and each bed has its own outlet. The showers are very warm and the house is gorgeous. A kitchen is available but it does not have an oven. This is one of the best Albergues I have seen on the Camino: get there at 1pm to secure your spot!
A great place to stay! It has clean bathrooms, nice powerful showers with a rack for your soap, nice beds with real linen, and is fewer than five minutes walk from an area with four restaurants. Best of all, the host - Maria - is an amazingly nice person who can answer almost any question about the area. I’d stay here again without hesitation.
It’s difficult to put the preciousness of this place into words. Albergues like this are what make the Camino the most meaningful trail in the world. The mother and daughter truly love people and you can feel it from the moment you walk in. It’s also beautiful, tasteful, full of intention. You won’t regret staying here!
