Stayed at Tres Campanas in Villafranca del Bierzo-heaven! Loli, the owner, welcomed me like family. The room was modern, clean with all the amenities needed plus the room had huge windows that showed beautiful views of the mountains. After walking a long day from Ponferrada, Loli’s warmth and comfy room made it one of my best accommodations on the Camino. Book this place, you won't regret it!
One night during the Camino de Santiago: the bed is amazing, all building new and spotless, breakfast everything that was needed with a big mug of coffee. Overall awesome place to stay, the lady is very nice 🙂
Loli Leon and I met five years ago when I stayed at her architecturally-designed hostel. This place is BEAUTIFUL. Loli is the best host EVER. The beds are AMAZING. No hostal on the Camino can compare to TRES COMPANAS. Sure, it is a bit out of the way. But 500 meters when you are walking an 800 kilometer trail? I have stayed here FOUR times and love it more each time. When you have finished the long walk from Ponferrada, and before you start the LONG walk UPHILL to CEBREIRO, give yourself a HOT SHOWER and a GREAT NIGHT’S REST. It’s worth the extra meters. In the morning, when you start your walk, it’s DOWNHILL to join the Camino. BUEN CAMINO!
Great stop on the Camino Frances. Staff is great, breakfast was good. Only drawback, after a long day of hiking is that it's at the opposite end of town, up a hill, but lovely views.
Best sleep of my entire Camino! Loli was lovely. Comfortable, clean room. Beautiful views. Would absolutely stay again!
