A rare gem along the camino route. Slight premium to the private albergues or hostals, but it definitely worth it! Juan is a wonderful host. Big garden at the front, wide open space. Feels like an oasis of calm. Single bunk beds, sleeps 10-12 in the dorm, private rooms available. As with hotels, bedlinen and covers/blankets provided. Toilets are generously spaced out and are clean and bright. Food was very good too!
You must meet Juan. He is so kind and the place looks like a county club. Very pretty. Beds were the most comfy ever on the Camino. I was in the ladies only dorm and there were so many snorers! Not the places fault, of course. The two things the property could consider are that the hall lights are so so bright at night, they could be much dimmer for sleeping. Also, the doors are really loud when they shut. These are normal albergue issues, but improving them would go a long way to Pilgrim comfort. Gracias Juan.
This is the BEST Albergue on the Camino! Juan made our stay so enjoyable and relaxing! The beds were comfortable with proper sheets and blankets. The bathrooms were spacious and clean. The dinner was so delicious! I highly recommend!
Th owner is super friendly ( now I understand the lot of good reviews ), the hallways and the rooms are huge and minimalist. The best was the bed, I slept like a baby. If you want a good stay, don't miss it.
Juan checked me in. Then he served at restaurant. He was also always tidying the hotel. Fantasic service, awesome value & hotel feels like a 4-star (esp for an albergue)! Best albergue & restaurant on Camino!
