The host was very kind, but unfortunately the hostess was quite unfriendly towards pilgrims — her attitude and tone were unpleasant. There was no hot water for showering, and the facilities were poor: ten people shared one room with only one toilet and one shower. The room was also full of flies, which made the stay even more uncomfortable. Overall, this was the worst albergue I’ve stayed in. I wouldn’t recommend it.
Warm cottage with a clean environment and a balcony for drying clothes. The host was very kind, and would lend me to wear when I was cold. The pilgrims' dinner was quite delicious. I love quince cheese.
This albergue is a gem on the Camino. Hosts Ana and Javier are so warm and welcoming, like family. They really were the best part of my stay. The pilgrim dinner was homemade from scratch and delicious, beds were comfortable and facilities clean. Would love to visit here again on my next Camino!
Didn’t stay here but popped in during the afternoon heat as my son desperately needed a toilet. They refused. Not exactly the spirit of the Camino!
I wrote this review after arriving in Santiago and having stayed at several hostels. I can safely say that this was one of the best and most welcoming hostels I have stayed at on the Camino de Santiago. The hospitality of the couple Ana and Javier is fabulous. They are kind and attentive to all pilgrims. The dinner shared with other pilgrims was simply the best I had on the entire Camino. An unforgettable evening. The food was homemade, but very rich and prepared with great care and love. At the end of the dinner, we applauded Mrs. Ana for her gift for cooking.
