Casa Rural Montedeio

What a delight. A very magical place and Bert and Betty are amazing hosts. Best food I have had in Spain-simple but fresh. Betty’s skills in the kitchen are superb. Highly recommend. It felt like home.

Our stay at Casa Rural Montdieo was enjoyable and truly special. Bart and Betty were incredibly warm and welcoming. The rooms and bathrooms were very clean. We stopped here during our Camino, but it would also be a lovely place to stay as a tourist. The room was big and clean, the beds were comfy. Bathroom was shared but remained very clean because only a small number of guests can stay. The are nice common areas (outside as well), laundry service. The hosts are friendly and helpful - they don’t just give you a room, but they actually take care of you. Dinner was fantastic: delicious recipes which were simple and yet unusual and elaborate. Breakfast was much better than what a normal “camino” breakfast usually is. We also appreciated a selection of drinks available for purchasing at the property because the bar was closed on that day. we had a great stay here for one night on the camino, bert and betty were amazing hosts, the dinner felt like a lovely family event. beds and bathroom were great too and the town is lovely as well.

Lovely room in beautifully decorated very old home. Hot shower. Comfortable bed. Quaint village. Delicious home-cooked three course dinner around communal Peregrino table with hosts Betty, Burt and their daughters. All in all a wonderful experience. Highly recommended. Betty went over and above the call of duty by having our baggage delivered to our next accommodation.
