Albergue Amanecer

Welcoming and authentic Albergue. Comfy beds, clean and space indoors and outside to relax. But what makes this Albergue is the host - she has so much love and kindness. The dinner was delicious and the vegetarian options provided the best on the Camino so far!!! Donation breakfast in the morning too.

Lovely hostel, ran by a lovely lady in a quiet little village on the Camino. The building is a bit old and worn down, but it’s clean with comfortable beds and warm showers. Would 100% recommend getting the pilgrim dinner, as it was the best I had all Camino, plentiful and lovely food, which differs significantly from the carb and meet beige of most other pilgrim meals.

I am perplexed by the high reviews for this alburgue. We arrived and checked in after a long hike. Tried to shower and there was absolutely no hot water. The water was like a polar plunge. The grounds are neat, but the whole place needs some serious ongoing maintenance. I got stuck in the toilet area in the middle of the night because the lock didn’t work properly. The bar adjacent was decent, but again lacked cleanliness and regular maintenance. The peregrino dinner was good and the host entertains with some singing. However, whether it was the dinner or the bocadillo from the bar, something made me ill with diarrhea throughout the night. I might have had an off experience, but I would never pick this alburgue again.

I was very happy to be here for a while, even though I couldn't stay here today. This space is beautiful both physically and mentally. Thank you for teaching me how to feel chakra.

I can't say enough good things about the dinner. It was so good. More like Indian food, which was so nice after eating Spanish food for two weeks. The host was great and I was the only person in my dorm room
