Not a great experience. I was originally placed in a room with 5 men. I was the only woman. I requested another room, which they did provide. There was only 1 working bathroom for about 20 people. Coed showers. I wouldn’t stay there again.

Albergue Municipal de Zubiri provided a solid resting place early in my Camino Francés pilgrimage. The hostel offers laundry services and has a communal kitchen, which were very convenient. There's also a designated area to leave boots, a thoughtful touch for weary pilgrims. Located close to the few amenities available in Zubiri, it's well-placed for accessing local services. The reception staff were particularly understanding of the challenges faced by inexperienced pilgrims and were eager to assist in any way possible, making the stay much more comfortable. Bathrooms are gender-segregated and kept clean, although breakfast isn't provided. Overall, a helpful and accommodating spot for pilgrims adjusting to the demands of the Camino.

The bathroom was dirty and there was no hot water right after washing. There is only one washing machine. The socket is far away from the bed. WiFi is only available near the counter, not even in the kitchen three meters away from the counter. When you've been walking all day and want to rest, this shelter will only make you more irritable.

Very basic. There were two stories. Bottom storey had 20 beds. I am not sure about the top storey. But it seemed like top storey guests were using the showers/toilets at the bottom storey..? And the bottom storey only had 2 showers and 2 toilets. The kitchen was very basic. There was basin to wash your clothes. The dining or common area was quite big. But it was across from the dormitory. So, quite noisy for the people resting in the dormitory.

No rails on the bunks and you have to jump a hoop to get on the top bunk. No mop for the bathroom floor and no attendant so people were up late yelling. One of the worst places I’ve stayed on the Camino.
