A little oasis on the Camino. We arrived hot and sweaty and not a little achy after two nights on the Camino and would have happily moved in. Sara was so warm and welcoming, the hostel was spotless and everything was well thought out. Beautiful showers, great laundry facilities, lovely beds with the cleanest sheets and a garden and lounge to rest in. And the group dinner! Amazing amazing food. Slept like a log and then feasted again at breakfast. The only very very minor thing was it’s a little bit out of town. But 100% worth the extra 0.7km!! Just blissful I wanted to stay forever!
Sara is one of the kindest hosts on our Camino Francés. She surprised us by hanging our laundry to dry while we were out, and the dinner she prepared was so delicious it felt like dining in a starred restaurant.
We arrived hearing of the Hostels good reputation. We arrived to be greeted by Sara with a glass of home made lemonade. Rooms lovely, we had a twin, lovely shower then relaxed in the garden. Meal time was at a large 12 seater table and a wonderful evening was had by all; great food, great atmosphere - definitely a unique place. Thank you again Sara
Sara is a gem, can’t thank her enough for a most perfect stay and experience. She was so welcoming when we arrived, and has really thought of everything for the weary walker. Dinner was out of this world-local ingredients cooked with love and true talent, served at a beautiful communal table. Beds were comfortable and all spaces impeccably clean. Laundry service was much appreciated too. The hostel is small and fills quickly so book early & come with an appetite!
Sara is an incredible host and an even better chef! She should open her own restaurant! Her homemade, local, healthy, vegetable centric 5 course dinner was so delicious, artful, and nourishing on our second day of the Camino. I didn’t take photos but you will have to take my word for it. It’s an intimate setting with 12 guests max (in 3 or 4 rooms, either dorm or private) so you really get to know your fellow pilgrims and enjoy the space together. The backyard garden was the perfect place to relax. There is a sunny clothes line to hang your clothes after washing by hand with the detergent provided. Comfy beds and clean bathrooms.
