If you visit Bilbao and want to save some budget and stay to a walking distance of every major interest place in Bilbao. This hotel works perfectly. Spoiler alert! This is not a fancy place for staying, so if you look for a dedicated staying experiencie you better look for other hotels. Bilbao is an expensive city for common people and staying there is expensive too. The Arriaga hotel serves with basic and clean rooms and without any other great amenity. It has an amazing location in front of the river and two blocks from downtown Cathedral, souvenir stores, restaurants and bars, particularly for those who love vibrant nights, downtown brings all the adventure. Something great from the hotel it's that it has it's own parking. As we travel Vasque Country by car, finding a hotel with own parking was important for us. The Guggenheim Museum is at 15 minutes walking distance all the sideway of the river. From the hotel you can also walkthrough the Gran Via avenue, which is particularly crowded at night. As said before, if you don't mind spending your night in a place that guarantee the basics (works for families), Hotel Arriaga is a fine option to take and safe some money to what really matters when you visit other cities.
The owners are lovely and so welcoming. The room was clean and simple. It's located very close to the major tourist spots. Absolutely perfect for a stay in Bilbao.
We loved our stay here and felt very lucky to have found such a quaint and homely place to stay. It is in the best part of town (the old town), close to all the best bars and restaurants and everything else you could need! The staff here are friendly, accommodating and were very kind in storing our bags for us both before and after check in. Thank you, we will be back! :)
Very convenient location in the heart of town. Parking for a reasonable charge. Very helpful english speaker proprietor. Small family run hotel - the towels are likely dried on a line and not bleached, but are clean. The building is old but rooms are clean.
