B48 Abando

Our accommodation experience was quite good. We were pleased with the location, the size of the room, and the fact that the furnishings were new and adequate. The staff were very helpful and attentive at all times. I only think that more attention should be paid to the detailed cleaning of the room. The lamps and wooden furniture were dusty. If I were to come again, I would definitely stay here again.

Place was clean and as described. The building door sensor did not work a couple of times but assistance was quick enough and they manually opened it within 10mins. Check in process specifically leaving things when you arrive before check in time could have been better. I suggest they try it themselves and see how they can improve it since steps are incomplete. Overall, I would still recommend the place. Thank you.

Excellent apartments at a perfect central location which fully satisfied our needs. The apartment was spacious enough, well equipped and clean. Although it is downtown, it was super quite and we could rest well during the nights. I received quick answers to all my questions and requests from the staff who was available on WhatsApp. Check in went super smooth as well. If we returned to Bilbao, we would pick the same place.

Great option to visit Bilbao. Check-in and check-out were very smooth (the information provided was very clear and I felt that support was readily available via phone and WhatsApp). Location is ideal as it's right across the bridge from the old town in Abando, and walking distance from most tourist attractions (including the Guggenheim). Our room was very clean, well decorated and very comfortable. The breakfast deal with the Basquery is quite convenient.

The so-called 24/7 online reception isn’t actually true. When we reported a power outage in our room around 7 to 8 a.m., no one responded until after 9. Our plan was to check out by 9:30, which meant we had to pack our luggage, get dressed, and get all the preparation of check out ready in the dark, and we couldn’t charge our phones or laptops before leaving. The “online reception” later replied with an apology and offered us a 10% discount code that “cannot be combined with any other promotion.” But guess what? Anyone booking directly through their official website gets 15% off! Aside from that, the hotel’s location is excellent — right next to the tourist information center and close to the metro station. Although the soundproofing isn’t great, the noise level wasn’t bad enough to affect our sleep. (It depends on the season I guess) Both check-in and check-out are fully self-service, so you won’t need to (and probably won’t have chance to) see any staff during your stay. In short, as long as nothing unexpected happens during your stay, B48 is still a great choice. It feels more like a home than a hotel and has a fantastic location. Just don’t expect any service — because there won’t be any.
