Hotel Bilbi

This is the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at, and I feel like I have to warn people about it because I see too many positive reviews, some even saying their room was spotless! The room was filthy, the bed smelled really bad. Turned out the mattress was covered with gross stains and mold. There was mold everywhere too. It’s impossible to sleep there since the walls are so thin, you can hear everything from the hall and the rooms around you. The hotel is located close to the river and the old town. However, to get there, we had to walk through the San Francisco neighborhood and it didn’t feel safe at night.

Great location. Despite only a 3* hotel it's great and the staff are very helpful and nice. Very clean and comfortable. I was on the 7th floor and was lucky to have a balcony which was bonus in the morning and evening.

People are incredibly friendly and rooms are clean and comfy. We went on winter and there was plenty of hot water and heating. Location can’t be better: 2 minutes from casco viejo. Great value for money

This is a two star budget hotel, if you don't mind that sort of thing, then this place is perfectly clean and close to the old city. When we went it was the choice of this at 91€ or bigger chains at 180€+ in equivalent locations yes you'll get slightly cheaper further out but then you'll have to tram it in. If you have a car you MUST book when booking room, booking sites just say parking available but it's not unless you book in advance, otherwise you'll need a 1 km hike to a decent carpark. Beds comfy, plenty of hot water, helpful concierge staff .

The room was not clean in addition it was infested by bed bugs. We got 80 bites each. Despite multiple promises of a full refund by the hotel this never happened. In addition the neighbourhood is quite sketchy. I suggest you spend a few euros more and stay somewhere else.
