Lidar Hotel

Basic simple room with good bed and shower, good cleaning and receiption service. Surrounding area is a bit dirty, but so is whole Bilbao. It is in comfortable walking distance from old town.

I arrived late at night in the rain, and was met with many panhandlers on the dark and solitary walk next to the train tracks. The front desk clerk was on the phone as I checked in, it was all a bit surreal. The room was just ok with scratched up cheap furniture and a bit of a moldy shower. By light of day the hotel and neighborhood seemed less seedy, but I would not rebook.

location great, safe inside and rooms immaculately clean; and the staff is super friendly and incredibly professional. But the cigarette smoke is so bad, it’s so overwhelming youll have your eyes watering and your throat aching. They spray the rooms with a chemical to reduce the smell of the cigarettes that trickle eventually into the rooms. So much for a non-smoking hotel. The smell of cigarettes will make you gag and get sick immediately upon entry; and incredibly over powering on your room floor. How people can smoke like this in a smoke free hotel and kill us non smokers is next level! The smoke billows into the rooms - suffocating you. Not good from a legal standpoint where you allow smokers and thus allowing this smoking which slowly kills your customers and you are responsible for them getting sick and cancers

The hotel is pretty decent in general. Very polite and helpful staff, great location, nice and spacious bathroom. Drawbacks: it would be good to have more hangers for towels in the bathroom and separate hangers in the corridor for jackets etc. Also not enough sockets in the room.

Location is good, plenty of eateries. Staffs were friendly. Room was below average. Never have I ever stayed in a hotel with nether a wardrobe, nor anywhere to hang my clothes. No hook to hold my jacket too. Shower room mirror light not working. Otherwise, bed was OK. Room installed with aircon unit to make my stay pleasant.
