Super central location. Great staff! Easy to access public transport, and very close to great places to eat such as Plaza Nueva (1-2min to walk). Rooms are alright, we had the junior suite which was regular room size by most standards, but it had a lovely terrace. And also top floor, so very quiet. The one negative remark would be that facing the traffic in the front you will hear a lot of noise, all day and night. Even at the top floor. But its a price to pay for such great location. And no noise from clubs or restaurants. Beautiful park right outside and river view.
We stayed here before and after our trip to San Sebastián so had 2 different rooms. Twin rooms are definitely ever so slightly bigger. The location is fabulous, and the staff are nice and helpful. The rooms are very small and cramped and you can’t open a suitcase fully on the floor. If you get a corner room, the shower is quite small. There is no bench space in the bathroom to put toiletries comfortably on there without everything falling off. If you are sharing a room with friends, make sure you are comfortable with being able to see them shower through the glass as it’s not 100% private. Can be noisy if facing the main street. We could hear protesters chanting outside for a bit. It’s okay for a very short stay.
Everything was excellent. Bilbao is a very safe city, very flat so easy to go around on foot. The hotel is highly central, in the old town part and through the bridge near by it is very close to the modern part. The hotel has a bar to hang out with our kid next to us. The atari gaming machine in the reception was nostalgic and fun. My only complain is the lack of small creams and hair conditioner. Also we could not open the room window for some fresh air.
We had an overall pleasant stay — the hotel is clean, the location is convenient, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Our room was spacious and quiet, which we really appreciated. There were, however, two things that could be improved. The mattress was noticeably firm, which made sleeping slightly less comfortable than expected. Additionally, the sink design, although modern, is very wide and flat, which unfortunately makes every splash or mark quite visible and not very practical for everyday use. Aside from these details, everything else was satisfactory, and we enjoyed our time at the hotel.
This is a great hotel, centrally located for both the old town and the new town. The hotel is spotless, and the rooms are great. All of the staff are very friendly and helpful. If you are visiting Bilbao, you won't find a better hotel.
