No soundproof at all wherever you are, doors in rooms don’t feet properly a door place, they are smaller than they should be and over evening/ night a light from a corridor is always in your room through those door gaps. The location is great, close to main tourist attractions. Loud from the street, though a room didn’t face the main street. Cleanliness 1,5 out of 5.
Super pension! The place is right in the center of the city near the metro and train station. You can access the old and new town center by less than 10-15 min walk. The neighborhood is calm and safe. The room was clean (and cleaned every morning!). The bathroom was also clean and working well. We did not have a great view from the windows but it was ok since we were only there to sleep! The staff is friendly and helpful :) We recommend this place! Good quality-price ratio!!
Simple but clean room in the centre of the city. It offers everything one night travelers need. You may need ear plugs. It's a few minutes walk from the old part of Bilbao. You will like a nice and helpful host.
As for 2* hotel the Pension Begoña is a great place to stay: located in the city center, staff can securely hold your luggage after checkout for free, the room was clean and relatively comfortable. Can't name anything I didn't like, considering the price.
I've made a booking for next year and need to change some details but they hotel is being super unresponsive - tried emailing, phoning, whatsapp and facebook so far but nothing seems to be acknowledged.
