When you travel on a small budget it’s important to stay rational about the place you are visiting. Unfortunately i was alert the whole time, and left earlier. The area is shady, at night we took an uber home and there was a few police cars just infront of the door. The place was semi clean, the private bathrooms not private. The walls were thin, you could hear everyone walking home. The cameras in the hallway and kitchen area were disturbingly weird. I sincerely hope there were no bedbugs. We left the dog at the room when we visited but this too felt like a thing to overcome. The lock to our room was bad, the door uneasy to open or close. I think small improvements like a broom or carpet in the bathroom would have helped keep the place clean. Even the bathroom door was difficult to open and close. Maybe the area is just not ready for guests, you tell me. Overall sweet hosts which we communicated only over phone. Best of luck for the rest of your business. - Unfortunately overpriced.
Good place but horrible location
I wanted to leave an honest review to prevent others from having the same experience we did. We decided to stay here last minute, and for the price we paid, we expected basic hygiene and safety guarantees. First of all, the location is in what is undoubtedly the worst neighborhood in Bilbao (San Francisco). Upon arrival, we were greeted by a scene of drug addiction and crime that made us feel unsafe from the very first minute. On the other hand, the room was simply unsanitary: first, the bedding smelled very bad (stale and damp), and we found blood stains. The humidity was so high that even the walls became damp. Furthermore, the shower had no soap or shower gel. In conclusion, for just a few euros more, you can get a clean, safe hotel with basic amenities.
Terrible, terrible, terrible experience. We left as quickly as we arrived. I find this incredibly disrespectful. For your safety, do not book here; the area is extremely dangerous. It's essentially a hostel. And the bed was filthy and covered in hair. A very bad experience.
One of the worst experiences we've ever had. The neighborhood is one of the worst we've ever been to: drugs, prostitution, vandalism, crime, etc. The hostel smelled bad and the facilities were terrible. The level of unpleasantness was such that we didn't even dare spend the night there. As we arrived and saw the scene, we decided to stay somewhere else, as far away from this area as possible.
