We spent 4 fabulous nights here in early October. Not only is the hotel great for ferry stop-overs but also exploring the beauty of Cantabria and Asturias. We were warmly welcomed by Laurie who couldn't do enough to help/advise and we immediately felt at home and relaxed with our dog. The place is spotless and tasteful and the staff super nice. Lots to choose from at breakfast, even came up with Gluten Free alternatives. Thanks for a memorable stay, we'll hopefully see you again in the spring.

It's a beautiful hotel in a character country house, not far from the port of Santander and local beaches. Our hosts were very welcoming and kind. It's even on the Camino Del Norte for anyone wanting a bit of luxury downtime. If you are used to paying UK hotel prices you will be very pleasantly surprised by the cost.

We had a wonderful stay in this enchanting place! Everything was absolutely perfect: the setting, the comfort, and the attention to detail. But what truly made our experience unforgettable was the owner: incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to help with anything we needed. Her generosity and hospitality made us feel at home from the very first moment. Highly recommended!

This was the first overnight stop walking along the Camino del Norte which I began in Santander. As soon as I crossed the threshold and introduced myself to owner Laurie, a fellow American, I was provided with the most generous and responsive welcome and care. I loved chatting with her about Camino experiences and got to know Bo, her chocolate labrador companion. The outdoor garden was a magical place to enjoy afternoon tea. The room was well appointed and the breakfast delicious. Everyone I interacted with gave me personal and kind attention. Laurie went above and beyond to offer me Sunday dinner since the nearby restaurant had closed before I awoke from siesta. I can’t express enough how fortunate I felt to begin my travels at Joyuca Del Pas. You would be crazy to stay elsewhere. When you go, give Bo a pet for me!
